As a partner with Devine Capital Partners Search Group, Cindy Combs works collaboratively with Rick Devine on all senior level search assignments conducted by the firm.

Cindy first partnered with Rick in 1997 while at Heidrick & Struggles, one of the world’s largest executive search firms. They have worked together ever since. At Heidrick & Struggles Rick and Cindy teamed up on several high-profile placements, including recruiting Tim Cook, current COO of Apple, with Steve Jobs as client and Dave Wickersham, now COO of Seagate and others. In 1999, Rick and Cindy were recruited to join Internet Capital Group, taking on the challenge of creating an in-house recruiting capability for a global portfolio of business Internet companies. Together they built one of the largest internal executive search organizations within a private equity firm, with 40 ICG recruiters spread across the United States, Europe and Asia.

In 2001 Cindy partnered with Rick in co-founding Devine Capital Partners. Some of their most high-profile successes to date include recruiting Mike Pocock, former CEO of Polaroid to the board of directors of Wyse Technology, David Dobson, former general manager of the Printing Division of IBM, as CEO of Corel, and Chris Stone, former vice chairman of Novell, as CEO of Streamserve.

Cindy was an all-American volleyball player in high school and played on the varsity team at UC Davis, where she earned a bachelor’s degree in managerial economics. She lives with her husband and three children in Silicon Valley.
